The entire body of this Pokémon is covered with wide vines similar to seaweed that shake as it walks. No one has ever seen what a real Tangela looks like under its vines. In “Pokémon Scent-Sation,” Ash sneaks into the Celadon City Gym after being refused entry. Ash and Bulbasaur battle Erica, the gym leader, and her vine-like Tangela. Eventually Tangela’s stun spore attack knocks Bulbasaur out for the count.
